CHEMICAL FACILITIES
Franklin County Chemical Facilities
Franklin County presently has 56 chemical
facilities throughout the County that have extremely hazardous chemicals
at their facility.
These facilities are required by law to have
emergency off site plans for their facilities.
These facilities report at least on a yearly
basis or when they have changes in the amount or number of chemicals at
their facility.
These off site plans are updated yearly by
the Franklin county Hazardous Materials Coordinator.
There are 95 facilities throughout Franklin County
that have chemicals meeting the reportable threshold quantity.
These facilities do not require any off site
plans but must still report on a yearly basis.
They also are required to report when they
have any changes to the amount or number of chemicals at their facility.
